The major prize in the Brighton Hebrew Congregation raffle is a $5,000 travel voucher supplied by TravelCall. The second prize is a $500 travel voucher kindly donated by TravelCall. Prizes are not transferable for cash. The prize winners will be required to meet all travel voucher conditions stipulated by TravelCall. It is a condition of entering this raffle that all purchasers of raffle tickets release Brighton Hebrew Congregation from any liability whatsoever for any loss, damage or inconvenience caused to the prize winners arising from any voucher conditions imposed by TravelCall including, but not limited to, expiry dates and travel restrictions.

The raffle closes on [date] 2016 and the draw will take place at 4:00pm on 27 November 2016. The draw is to be conducted at 136 Marriage Road, Brighton East. All raffle tickets receipted prior to 4:00pm on 26 November 2016 will be entered into the draw. Winners will be advised by telephone and post (and, where possible, email). Brighton Shule are organising a team in the upcoming MS Melbourne Cycle Ride on March 6 to raise charity funds for Multiple Sclerosis.

There will be rides to suit all levels from young to old, starting at 3 km up to 50 km. The longer distances will ride on a closed road over the West Gate Bridge. The ride has been arranged by Joe Weinstein (his sister has been diagnosed with MS for about 16 years) Joe is more than happy to help (even organizing spare bikes - so no excuses!).

Brighton Shul people entertained Jewish residents at Claremont Terrace in McKinnon for Mitzvah Day.

Brighton’s Chazan and President, David Wittenberg said, “Everyone joined in the singing; our kids, the residents and our members. Smiles and clapping were the order of the day.

“Everybody had a great time and this is something we should do more often. Mitzvah Day is a great initiative motivating our community.”

Brighton’s Outreach Director, Rabbi Shmulik Hilel visits Claremont’s residents every Friday before Shabbat.
